В цветочных магазинах продают горшочки с пальмами, в которых сидят множество кустиков. Обычно они называются "Арека". На самом деле к ареке эти пальмочки не относятся. Принадлежат они к роду Хризалидокарпус. Эта пальма одна из немногих, кто способна давать прикорневые отростки. В природе встречается часто в виде больших зарослей. Уход за этой пальмой довольно простой. Главное, не беспокоить корневую систему лишний раз, дать побольше солнечного света и регулярно поливать, не давая сильно просохнуть почве в горшке. Пересадку проводить после того, как корневая система оплетет весь грунт в горшке.
